OCTOBER 13, 2006 - A new crossword puzzle has been added ... FileMaker Server 8

OCTOBER, 2006 - Yeah, it has been a long while since my last update. How about something a little different? I was looking for something fun to do while studying for the FileMaker 8 certification exam. I came across this crossword making tool and that "why not"? I will be adding new crossword puzzles over time. If a question has a two or more word answer, you don't enter in the spaces between the words. Explore how the menus work and let me know if you have any problems.

JULY 1, 2005 - Wow! June was certainly an active month for free content! I uploaded 128 individual web pages discussing FileMaker design! I probably won’t be able to add this much in the month of July but my collection of free content is still going to grow rapidly. All of this information can be found in the afilemakeraffliction Articles section. Here is a breakdown of what areas the free content covered.

15 Articles - FileMaker 6 Calculations & Functions
54 Articles - FileMaker 6 Found Set (searches, sorts, imports, etc...)
49 Articles - FileMaker 6 Secure Design (passwords, risks, etc...)
10 Articles - FileMaker 7 Secure Design (overview, account, privileges, etc ...)

and dozens of free example files were added in the examples area as well!

JUNE 13, 2005 - Added the entire tutorial movie collection from The FileMaker 6 Secure Design VTC. This includes 47 QuickTime movies ... completely free. Check it out in the Movies section of AFA on dwaynewright.com.

JUNE 8, 2005 - Finished up adding the contents of The Guide To FileMaker 6 Secure Design to this site. This includes 50 discussions and dozens of example files. All of this information can be found in the afilemakeraffliction Articles section.

JUNE 1 , 2005 - Added over 20 new articles and example files regarding security design in FMP6 databases to the afilemakeraffliction Articles section.

MAY 9, 2005 - Added the entire contents of THE GUIDE TO FILEMAKER 6 TERMS AND EXPRESSIONS to the afilemakeraffliction Articles section. Over 500 terms are explained in detail with a web page dedicated for each letter of the English alphabet.

MAY 3, 2005 - Added the entire contents of THE GUIDE TO FILEMAKER 6 SOLUTION PUBLISHING to the afilemakeraffliction Articles section. This 80+ pdf document is now available free of charge on 38 separate web pages!

APRIL 29, 2005 - Added the entire tutorial movie collection from The FileMaker 6 Basics VTC. This includes 50 QuickTime movies on the basics of FileMaker 6 ... completely free. Check it out in the Movies section of AFA on dwaynewright.com.

ARTICLES - This link will be discussions about FileMaker and currently includes over 130 web pages. Not only is there a wealth of content here, it is all organized by topic. In fact, you can read tons of information about a particular subject. For example, I have included over 30 discussions on the topic of selling FileMaker solutions on the open market!

TUTORIAL TRAINING MOVIES - If a picture can say a thousand words, how much can you gather from 4 minutes of moving pictures with a trainer audio narrative? How much can you learn with over 70 of these movies provided free of charge? For those of you just getting started with FileMaker design, I have provided 50 movies that cover all the basics from What Makes Up The Screen? to Layout Parts & Reports.

LIBRARY OF TOTALLY OPEN EXAMPLE FILES - Sometimes, you just want to add a feature to your database, without knowing all the technical background. Sometimes, you want to see how something works by taking it apart and looking at it piece by piece. The examples area of afilemakeraffliction provides over 30 example files of various FileMaker programming techniques!
